Questions about bidding
What is an online auction on this site?
A lot goes up with an opening bid, a bid step and a closing time. Anyone registered can bid from a phone. When the clock runs out the highest bid above the reserve wins. Every lot carries a condition report so you know what you are bidding on.
Who can bid?
Anyone with an account who has registered for that lot and been approved. People living abroad can bid on the same terms as people in Cameroon.
Do I have to pay a deposit before bidding?
Only when the lot says so. The amount is shown on the lot before you register. A deposit on a lot you do not win is returned, and a deposit on a lot you win comes off the price.
What is the reserve price?
The lowest price the seller will accept. It is not shown, but the page says whether bidding has passed it. If the reserve is not met the lot does not sell.
How do I pay if I win?
Through the payment accounts published on this site, by MTN Mobile Money, Orange Money or bank transfer. We never ask you to send money to a personal number.
Is the title checked before a lot goes up?
Every lot states what title is held and whether any charge is registered against it, and says so plainly when that could not be established. Where a lot has been checked, the date of the check is on the page.
