Questions and answers

Can I buy if I hold a foreign passport?

Cameroonian citizens can hold a land title. Foreign nationals usually lease long term or buy through a company. Cameroon does not generally recognise dual nationality, so take legal advice on your situation.

I was born Cameroonian but naturalised abroad. What changes?

Your status may affect how you can hold land. A notary can tell you which route is safe before you pay.

Can someone sign for me?

Yes, with a power of attorney certified at a consulate or by a notary. Our representation service can attend with them.

How do I pay from abroad?

Send through a transfer service to an MTN or Orange wallet, or have a relative pay, then enter the transaction ID.

Can I see the property before I pay?

Yes. Book a video walk-through or send a representative. Never pay before someone you trust has seen it.
